Rating A (Strong within its tier and class · overall score 73) · Tàu vũ khí Khu trục hạm

A Pan-European tech-tree destroyer that pressures big ships with HE fires. Its five 140 mm guns fire every 4.0 s for 34,500 HE DPM, and fire potential of 3.39 per minute (before modifiers) is 31% above average; the wiki adds that the larger caliber improves penetration, so real damage exceeds the numbers. Three Smoke Generator and three Engine Boost I charges suit cycles of shooting from smoke and disengaging, and one Radar I charge can expose a hidden destroyer at the decisive moment. However, 7.02 km detectability is long, so it is often spotted first, and its torpedoes have only 7.2 km range and a salvo 51% below average, limiting them to harassment.

In the 1930s, French specialists designed a large destroyer based on Le Fantasque by order of the Yugoslav Navy. The boiler-and-turbine plant and gun fire-control system were purchased in the U.K. and France, respectively. Split, a ship named after the city where she was built, was laid down in 1939 and was to be armed with five Czechoslovak-produced 140 mm guns. In 1941, the city of Split was captured by the Italians, who decided to complete the construction of the ship. In 1943, the destroyer was renamed Spalato and launched. After the capitulation of Italy, the ship was grounded in the port. In 1948, Yugoslavia resumed work on her, but receiving weapons from Czechoslovakia was no longer possible, and Split was eventually completed with British-American weapons instead. The ship entered service in 1959, immediately becoming the Navy's flagship.
