Its theoretical HE fire rate is 5.03 per minute, 38% above average, so it keeps up steady pressure with fires on battleships and AP on cruisers. 3 charges of Rapid Reload II boost firepower for 20 s, and Air Defense Alert II helps it hold up against carriers. However, a short 12.12 km range and 9.48 km detectability get it spotted first, and it lacks detection or survival skills like Radar or smoke. The wiki sees little reason to pick it, as its reload is 2 s slower than Des Moines and it has no detection skill.
