A US tech-tree tier-X carrier specialized in air superiority and destroyer hunting, with fighters 57% above the tier-X carrier average and AA 20% above. It uses a tactical squadron instead of regular bombers, and squadron smoke plus a generous aircraft reserve allow stable play. Per-strike torpedo damage is 51% below average, but chaining torpedo bombers with the tactical squadron is said to cripple destroyers quickly. Its 12.3 s rudder shift is more responsive than other carriers. Highly valued in today's destroyer-heavy matches, it ranks in the upper tier of community tier lists.
