Shimanto
Mục VIII Tuần dương hạm · Nhật Bản
Rating D (Bottom tier within its tier and class · overall score 4) · Ngư lôi Tuần dương hạm
A tech-tree tier VIII cruiser based on a Japanese AA cruiser design, pairing fifteen 150 mm guns with 9.6 km torpedoes. Its HE salvo is 29% above average and it sets 3.46 fires per minute, so the core plan is to burn large ships from the flank and add flooding with torpedoes. Torpedo range exceeds its 8.64 km detectability by 0.96 km, allowing stealth launches before it opens fire. However, dispersion at 10 km is about 258 m, 16% wider than average, and range is 11.4 km, so long-range duels are unfavorable. Its large hull is easy to hit and its anti-cruiser firepower is weak, and community tier lists have ranked it low for several patches.
