Lambros Katsonis
Mục IX Khu trục hạm · Châu Âu
Rating B+ (Above average within its tier and class · overall score 55) · Tàu vũ khí Khu trục hạm
A Pan-European tech-tree HE destroyer with 140 mm guns. 35,385 HE DPM and fire potential of 3.48 per minute (before modifiers), 18% above average, give it good fire pressure on battleships. Two charges of 7.2 km Radar I expose hidden destroyers, and three charges each of Smoke Generator I and Engine Boost II give balanced survival tools. Per the wiki, though, a poor turret layout usually limits it to five guns, and it has only four torpedoes per side. Its torpedo salvo is 45% below average, but at 83.4 kn they are easy to land. Detectability of 7.32 km is 0.93 km above average and the hull is large, so play it like a small cruiser leaning on smoke.

In the late 1920s, a dispute existed among the leaders of the Greek Navy about whether to invest in building more conventional ships or build fewer but stronger ones. In 1929, when Turkey purchased four destroyers from Italy, the first approach prevailed, and Greece ultimately ordered four destroyers to be built with simplified technology, also in Italy. Had the argument gone a different way, the other approach envisaged ordering a pair of large ships with 140 mm guns. The most suitable option was a predesign of a fleet cruiser that the British Admiralty was considering at that time—namely, the E-class cruiser armed with six 140 mm guns. Lambros Katsonis was named after the leader of the Greek people's national liberation struggle.
