An unusual US premium battleship that puts twelve 203 mm guns on an Iowa-class hull, essentially heavy cruiser guns. A 9 s reload drives HE DPM 62% above average and about 4.2 fires per minute, roughly double the average, so its fire pressure is strong. But AP penetration is only 320 mm, making it hard to pierce big battleships' main belts, and its maximum citadel salvo is 56% below average. Range is a short 12.9 km, a handicap in long-range duels. Effective effective HP of 57,612 is on the low side, and while AA is 43% above average, it has no Air Defense Alert and its only skill is four charges of Precise Aiming System I.

In the 1940s, several projects to modernize and reconstruct battleships were developed—from hybrid aircraft carriers to artillery training battleships. One of them was the conversion of the last two Iowa-class battleships into escort ships for aircraft carriers. According to the project, turrets with rapid-firing 203 mm guns were to be mounted on the main battery barbettes; however, this plan never materialized. (Premium ships are fully upgraded by default)
