Gunboat destroyer, suited to fire pressure and light-armor shredding. Its HE salvo of 2,242 is 5% above average, so every volley hits hard. Effective HP of 17,902 is 10% above average. SAP deals heavy direct damage to destroyers, light cruisers and superstructures with no overpens, but it cannot start fires or damage armor thicker than its penetration. It also carries HE to switch as needed. Sluggish rudder shift means you must start turning early to dodge shells and torpedoes.

The Guépard class was a group of large destroyers built for the French Navy between 1927 and 1931. Similar to the previous Jaguar class, they had a larger hull, slightly improved speed, and 139 mm guns of a new design. Several of the Guépard-class destroyers were scuttled during the sinking of the French Fleet at Toulon in November 1942. FR25 was one of the ships that the Italians wanted to raise and refurbish for use in their own navy, but this could not be completed before the end of the war.
