A US tech-tree tier IX battleship based on a hypothetical hybrid conversion of an Iowa-class hull. The flight deck costs it guns, leaving eight 406 mm guns, and AP DPM is 14% below average. In return, it launches aircraft roughly every 56 seconds to spot enemies behind islands and bomb targets beyond gun range, and according to the wiki it also carries a small fighter group that helps with scouting and air defense. AA is 36% above average and top speed is a quick 32.25 kn. However, the big flight deck makes the hull large and easy to hit, and citadel protection is weak, so it is better at providing vision and support fire from behind than tanking up front.

In the 1940s and 50s, the option of transforming the Iowa-class battleships into hybrid battleship-carriers was considered. This would have required the installation of a flight deck at least 350 feet long, and it would also have been necessary to preserve the ship's combat power. It was determined that both requirements could be met by relocating the third turret to the ship's stern and replacing it with a twin-gun turret to balance the ship's weight distribution.
