Its 10,620 AP salvo is 19% above average, and with 441 mm penetration and a 250% citadel multiplier it can deal up to 26,550 in one salvo to a broadside cruiser. 51,625 effective HP and thick armor let it tank well bow-on, and secondary DPM is 29% above average. Scout Plane I (range +12%) and Precise Aiming System II also allow sniping at 13.62 km. On the other hand, the 13 s reload puts DPM 12% below average, and 11.1 km detectability and 28.66 s acceleration mean it is spotted first and struggles to dodge torpedoes. Making a habit of using Sonar II to spot torpedoes early is important.
