HE DPM of 64,931 is 59% above average and fire potential is a high 5.01 per minute (before modifiers), so it excels at setting battleships ablaze. Per the wiki, its high-arcing shells are good for lobbing over islands while undetected. Two charges each of Radar II and Sonar I plus AA 15% above average add support value. However, with 37,734 effective HP, no smoke and a short 11.34 km range, it cannot hold up long once spotted. The high arc makes fast targets like destroyers hard to hit, and switching to AP pays off against light cruisers and nearby heavy cruisers.
