A French multi-turret battleship built on the tier VII Lyon with Rapid Reload II added. Sixteen 305 mm guns produce 57,111 AP DPM, 22% above the tier VIII battleship average, and the two center turrets rotate 360°, making firing angles easy. Rapid Reload speeds up reloading by 43% for 20 s, letting it carve big chunks out of battleships at close range or cruisers showing their broadside in a short window. HE fires per minute are also 2.68, 34% above average. However, durability is a low 48,005, so it doesn't last long if focused first.

In 1912, France initiated the construction of larger docks at shipyards in Toulon and Brittany. By that time, the major naval powers were laying down ships significantly more advanced than their predecessors in terms of main caliber. France was also contemplating a shift toward a caliber of 370–380 mm; however, naval guns of this caliber were not yet accessible in France. As a solution, engineers opted to increase the number of smaller-caliber guns, with the final design featuring as many as sixteen guns placed in four turrets.
