Its 152 mm AP rarely overpenetrates destroyers, so on paper it strips a same-tier destroyer in about 96 s and a cruiser in about 2 minutes. Its 8.4 km torpedoes have a salvo 59% above average, a real threat to battleships. Three charges of Smoke Generator II and 8.1 km detectability make it a good ship to learn the British light cruiser smoke game properly. However, it has no HE, so it struggles against angled battleships, and 38,270 durability with thin armor makes radar dangerous.
