A Japanese premium destroyer that hides well with 6.0 km detectability. Its six 127 mm guns reload slowly at 6.5 s for only 22,874 DPM, and with 7.85 km range and about 121 m dispersion at 6 km it is weak in head-on gunfights. Two charges of Engine Boost II let it reposition quickly, but with a single smoke charge it has few ways out once caught by radar or sonar. AA is 11% above average and two charges of Air Defense Alert II make it slightly better against carriers. The Reddit 9.3 tier list rates it around the middle, higher than the stat model grade calculated mainly from its guns.

Kuroshio was the third Kagerō-class destroyer built for the Imperial Japanese Navy. She participated in numerous early Pacific War campaigns, including the invasions of the Philippines and the Dutch East Indies, as well as the Battle of Midway, and she performed "Tokyo Express" transport missions during the Guadalcanal campaign. The destroyer was ultimately sunk by a mine near Kolombangara Island in May 1943. (Premium ships are fully upgraded by default)
