Johnston
Mục IX Khu trục hạm · U.S.A. · Cao cấp
Rating S (Elite within its tier and class · overall score 89) · Hybrid Khu trục hạm Động cơ
A US premium destroyer with burst fire. Its five 127 mm guns fire three salvos one second apart for 5,835 burst damage, followed by a 9 s reload. That burst lets it take a big chunk of HP first in short destroyer fights, and two charges of Sonar I make enemy destroyers and torpedoes easy to find. Its 41,300 torpedo salvo is 20% above average and the 9.6 km range gives a 3.3 km margin over its 6.3 km detectability. A 37.67 kn top speed, 6.92 s acceleration and three charges of Engine Boost II give it good mobility. However, its average DPM of 31,541 is ordinary and it has only two smoke charges, so hit-and-run suits it better than long gunfights.

A Fletcher-class destroyer—one of the most extensively produced destroyers in the U.S. Navy. After entering service in 1943, the ship participated in military operations in the Pacific, conducting patrol duties, providing fire support for ground forces, and escorting various formations and convoys. In October 1944, during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, USS Johnston served as part of a covering force for a group of escort aircraft carriers. The ship bravely engaged the Japanese forces with six other destroyers, providing cover for the carriers to escape the attack; however, she was ultimately sunk in the intense battle.
