A British heavy cruiser firing AP from ten 203 mm guns every 9.0 s. Sigma 2 keeps shells tight, and its anti-cruiser firepower is strong enough to take a same-tier cruiser's HP in about 134 s on paper. Three charges of Scout Plane I extend its range from 11.58 km to about 13.0 km. However, it has no HE and its 203 mm AP mostly overpenetrates destroyers, so a destroyer takes about 545 s on paper, and it struggles to damage angled battleships. Despite being a British cruiser it has no smoke, and with 33,040 effective HP and a 29.75 kn top speed it has a hard time surviving in battleship-heavy matches.

The Japanese construction of cruisers with ten 8-inch guns made the British Admiralty think about improving the combat characteristics of future ships. In May 1927, an order was given to develop cruisers with five main battery turrets and one additional turret. Following lengthy discussions, it was decided to discard the idea of the additional turret in favor of armor. This would later spur the emergence of the Surrey-class cruisers.
