A US premium destroyer that adapts Fletcher to tier VIII with an upgraded skill set. Its five 127 mm guns fire every 3.6 s with about 99 m dispersion at 6 km, 12% tighter than average, so it can reveal hidden destroyers with 8.1 km Radar II and finish them with AP. 127 mm AP rarely overpenetrates destroyers, giving steady anti-destroyer damage. A 37.65 kn top speed and 7.15 s acceleration make it quick, and four Repair Kits restore up to 67% of its HP for long cap fights. However, its only smoke is two charges of Exhaust Fuel Smoke II and it has few torpedo launchers, so against big ships it needs Torpedo Reload II for a second launch.

USS Cassin Young is a Fletcher-class destroyer named for Captain Cassin Young, a Medal of Honor recipient from Pearl Harbor. She served in the Pacific Theater, participating in the Battles of Leyte Gulf and Okinawa, where she was heavily damaged twice but remained operational. After World War II, she was modernized for anti-submarine duties and served until 1960. She is currently preserved as a museum ship at the Boston Navy Yard.
