The Black version of Lightning, which swaps Air Defense Alert for Rapid Reload I (+18% main battery reload speed for 20 s), noticeably improving close-range anti-destroyer fights. Its normal HE DPM is 16% below average, but dispersion at 6 km of about 94 m is 16% tighter than average, making destroyers easy to hit. Four charges of Fuel Smoke plus 7.55 s acceleration and a 10.7°/s turn rate let it break vision and escape whenever it gets in trouble. Its 8.4 km torpedoes outrange its 6.12 km detectability by 2.28 km for unseen launches, and with Sonar I ×2 and four Damage Control charges, both survival and scouting are strong.
