The Black version of Fletcher. It swaps the original's Engine Boost for two charges of Torpedo Reload I, so its 42,480 torpedo salvo (23% above average) can be fired back-to-back, and its Air Defense Alert is level III for stronger carrier deterrence. Four Damage Control charges let it put out fires and flooding once more. Its five 127 mm guns fire every 3.6 s but, as the wiki notes, are high-arcing, better for burning battleships than hitting destroyers. A 36.97 kn top speed, 6.87 s acceleration and 3.06 s rudder shift give good mobility, but 7.8 km torpedoes leave only a 1.5 km margin over its 6.3 km detectability, and its two Smoke Generator II charges must be used sparingly.
