The Black version of Benson, with the same gun and torpedo firepower as the original but a more aggressive skill set. Its Smoke Generator is upgraded to II for longer-lasting smoke, and Engine Accelerator to II, though charges drop from three to two. Sonar I ×1 replaces Air Defense Alert to find hidden destroyers, and four Damage Control charges let it put out fires and flooding one extra time. Torpedo range is 7.5 km, 0.3 km longer than the original, giving a 1.32 km margin over its 6.18 km detectability. Its 6.42 s acceleration and 2.78 s rudder shift are unchanged, so it dodges well in close fights.
