Azuma
Mục IX Tuần dương hạm · Nhật Bản · Cao cấp
Rating C (Weak within its tier and class · overall score 26) · Độ dài Tuần dương hạm
A Japanese premium large cruiser with nine 310 mm guns. Its 11,151 AP salvo is 25% above average and dispersion 11% tighter than average at 10 km, so a citadel salvo on a broadside cruiser can deal up to 27,878. 13.56 km range is long for a cruiser and suits medium-to-long range gunnery, and its HE salvo is 44% above average. It has two charges each of Precise Aiming System I, Rapid Reload I and Sonar I, but all are low-level with modest effect. Its large hull and thin armor soak battleship shells, and 10.2 km detectability gets it spotted early, so recent tier lists rank it near the bottom.

A powerful high-speed ship (Project B-65) designed to destroy American heavy cruisers and confront Alaska-class "large cruisers". Some design solutions were borrowed from Yamato-class battleships. She was armed with nine 310 mm guns and had good anti-torpedo protection. (Premium ships are fully upgraded by default)
