According to the wiki, its bombers change to two flights of three at this tier, making fire-setting more frequent and attack angles more flexible, and its tougher fighters no longer lose air battles one-sidedly to US and Japanese carriers. Its 11.04 km detectability and 41,926 effective HP put its survivability near average. The wiki rates it as equal to, or depending on the matchup better than, Essex and Taihō.

Her large dimensions allowed her to overcome the major drawback of her predecessors—the relatively small number of airplanes she could carry. The aircraft carriers initially laid down as the Audacious class were completed much later, in the 1950s, with a significantly modified design.
