A Japanese tech-tree tier IX battleship based on the No. 13-class battlecruiser design, built around eight 457 mm guns. With 491 mm AP penetration it can threaten the citadels of most same-tier battleships, and its citadel multiplier is a high 275%. Three charges of High-Precision Spotter I (+10% range, +11% accuracy) help at long range, and Air Defense Alert II pushes AA 15% above average. On the downside, 57,449 effective HP and thin armor won't survive focused fire for long, and DPM is slightly below average. With 30.02 kn top speed and 22.34 s acceleration, it suits a sniper role that keeps repositioning to hold its distance.

Following the announcement of an ambitious shipbuilding program by the U.S. in 1919, Japan reconsidered the plans for the development of its Navy and gave the order to build four more battleships and four more battlecruisers. Thirteen variants of battleships and battlecruisers were presented. Project A was selected as the Kii-class battleship, and Project K was used for the battlecruiser. Construction was meant to start in 1922, but the battlecruisers were never laid down in the aftermath of the Washington Naval Conference.
