Z-42
Tier X · Destroyer · Germany · Premium
Rating A+ (Strong within its tier and class · overall score 78) · Gunboat destroyer
An AP-focused gunboat destroyer firing ten 105 mm guns every 4.2 s. AP DPM of 60,571 is 28% above the tier-X destroyer average and its salvo is 47% heavier, dealing heavy damage to broadside cruisers. Five single-burst smoke charges and a 4.5 km Sonar II that finds enemies in smoke and torpedoes let it fight for a long time by laying short smokes often. However, 6 km dispersion is 16% wider than average, and DPM against destroyers drops to 39,714. Its 8.4 km torpedoes exceed its detectability by only 1.6 km, making them hard to use for stealth torpedoing.
