Z-39
Tier VII · Destroyer · Germany · Premium
Rating C- (Quite weak within its tier and class · overall score 18) · Balanced destroyer
Balanced destroyer. It is especially strong against cruisers and battleships (AP deals a same-tier cruiser's HP in about 4 min on paper). Each Repair Kit restores 20% of max HP, up to 60% over a battle (standard 50%). Tanking damage and healing it back is this ship's biggest weapon. AP penetration of 223 mm is 81% above average and handles thick armor. Sluggish turning means you must start turning early to dodge shells and torpedoes.

The last sister ship of destroyer Z-23 belonged to a series of ships laid down after the start of World War II (Zerstörer 1936A Mob). She carried 150 mm guns. During 1944 and 1945, the ship underwent an overhaul with a reinforcement of her AA defenses. This, however, required that one of the ship's main guns be demounted.
