Yūgumo
Tier IX · Destroyer · Japan
Rating D (Bottom tier within its tier and class · overall score 5) · Stealthy destroyer
Stealthy destroyer. It is weak against destroyers (HE deals a same-tier destroyer's HP in about 3 min on paper). Its 10.2 km torpedoes outrange its 6.12 km detectability by 4.1 km, ideal for smoke-backed ambushes. Detectability of 6.12 km is 0.27 km below average, so it is less likely to be spotted first. Weak guns: avoid gunfights and focus on torpedoes or spotting. A firepower equipment build improves reload 5.5→5.22 s, dispersion 110→100 m.

The Yūgumo-class destroyers were an updated version of the Kagerō class, and were equipped with the same weapons. The main changes were adjustments to the bridge layout to improve handling in heavy seas, and improved elevation angles for the main guns to let them engage aircraft.
