Yūbari
Tier IV · Cruiser · Japan · Premium
Rating C (Weak within its tier and class · overall score 29) · Torpedo cruiser
Torpedo cruiser, suited to AA escort, flanking, torpedo ambush. It is weak against cruisers (HE deals a same-tier cruiser's HP in about 4 min on paper · torpedoes supply 27% of it). Its 8.4 km torpedoes outrange its 6.24 km detectability by 2.2 km, ideal for stealth ambushes. Top speed of 33.2 kn is 2.1 kn above average, with good turning, rudder shift, acceleration. Detectability of 6.24 km is 0.82 km below average, so it is less likely to be spotted first. Its firepower trails other cruisers, so pick favorable angles and ranges over straight DPM races.
