Yamato
Tier X · Battleship · Japan
Rating B- (Below average within its tier and class · overall score 39) · Long-range battleship
Japan's tech-tree tier X battleship, with nine 460 mm guns, 15.78 km range, and a 300% citadel multiplier allowing up to 62,073 in one salvo against broadside targets on paper. ~299 m dispersion at 12 km plus 3 charges of Precise Aiming System II make medium-to-long-range sniping its main weapon. 72,455 HP, thick armor, and torpedo protection make the hull sturdy, but it is widely seen as weak to fire, so HE spammers steadily wear it down. A 26.69 kn top speed, 19.2 s rudder shift, and slow turret traverse make its strengths hard to use if dragged into a brawl. DPM is 7% below average, so it is no longer as dominant as before, and recent community tier lists mostly rate it mid-to-low.
