Wakatake
Tier III · Destroyer · Japan
Rating A- (Above average+ within its tier and class · overall score 65) · Agile destroyer
Agile destroyer. It is weak against cruisers (AP deals a same-tier cruiser's HP in about 10 min on paper · torpedoes supply 50% of it). Its 6.6 km torpedoes outrange its 5.22 km detectability by 1.4 km, ideal for stealth ambushes. Top speed of 35.0 kn is 1 kn above average, with good turning, acceleration. High HE fire potential (0.9 fires/min before hit rate and resistance). Key skills: Engine Accelerator I ×2 (top speed +8%, 25 s).

- Top speed: 35.03 kn
- Surface detectability: 5.22 km
- Main battery: 120 mm 3X1 · reload 7.5 s · range 6.6 km
A small yet well-armed and very fast destroyer. Wakatake carried 533 mm torpedoes with better range than similar munitions used by potential rivals. An unconventional placement of torpedo tubes allowed her to fire from the bow sectors.
