Von der Tann
Tier III · Battleship · Germany
Rating C (Weak within its tier and class · overall score 28) · Fast battleship
Fast battleship, suited to AA escort, flanking. It is weak against battleships (HE deals a same-tier battleship's HP in about 15 min on paper). Top speed of 27.0 kn is 5.7 kn above average, with good turning, rudder shift, acceleration. Detectability of 8.52 km is 0.87 km below average, so it is less likely to be spotted first. Its firepower trails other battleships, so be selective and punish broadsides. A firepower equipment build improves reload 20→19 s, dispersion 324→295 m.

The first German battlecruiser. She was designed for use in joint operations with Nassau-class battleships, but she significantly surpasses them in terms of her speed and is almost as durable in terms of her armor protection.
