Santander
Tier IX · Cruiser · Pan-America
Rating A (Strong within its tier and class · overall score 69) · Balanced cruiser
A Pan-American tech-tree light cruiser with three triple 152 mm turrets; per the wiki every turret rotates 360°, so all nine guns bear quickly whichever way it moves. AP DPM is 57,516 and 152 mm AP rarely overpenetrates destroyers, while Combat Instruction, triggered after 45 main battery hits (reload and accuracy +43%, penetration +30% for 20 s), shreds even battleship superstructures. The Emergency Repair specialty makes each Repair Kit heal 20%, up to 60% in total, and one Radar II charge plus Air Defense Alert II add utility. However, its salvo is 38% below average and range is 11.76 km, so it suits holding the line bow-on over long-range sniping.

In accordance with the Rio de Janeiro Treaty of 1947, the old Brooklyn-class cruisers were to be transferred to the Colombian Navy to strengthen it. If Colombia had decided to order a new ship, it could have been Santander, a cruiser based on the American Worcester-class ships.
