Osborne
Tier VIII · Destroyer · U.S.A.
Rating C- (Quite weak within its tier and class · overall score 22) · Durable destroyer
A US tech-tree destroyer based on an alternate-armament Fletcher-class design. Its four 137 mm guns fire HE only, with a 4.3 s reload and 25,674 DPM, 12% below average, and dispersion at 6 km is about 156 m, 39% wider than average, so long-range hits are hard. In exchange, it has 20,211 HP, a 2.77 s rudder shift and 7.1 s acceleration, and Split Smoke II, toggled on and off in segments, lets it hide exactly as much as needed. AA is 78% above average. Its torpedo salvo is 47% below average, so they are for harassment; its main role is ambushing destroyers, using 6.18 km detectability to close in before deploying smoke.
