Gold Bug
Tier X · Destroyer · U.S.A. · Premium
Rating B (Average within its tier and class · overall score 55) · Stealth torpedo destroyer
A Gearing variant with the same hull and armament but detectability cut by 0.3 km to 6.06 km. The gap to its 9.36 km torpedoes widens to 3.30 km, letting it torpedo from stealth more safely than the regular Gearing, and its 45,980 torpedo salvo is 13% above average. A 3.06 s rudder shift and 7.17 s acceleration make it agile, 3 charges of Smoke Generator II help it get through tight spots, and Air Defense Alert II gives it decent anti-carrier defense. Its guns fire HE on a 3.3 s reload and can go for fires, but expected fires per minute are 21% below average, so its gunfight firepower is ordinary.
