Gascogne
Tier VIII · Battleship · France
Rating C (Weak within its tier and class · overall score 28) · Fast battleship
Fast battleship. It is weak against cruisers (AP deals a same-tier cruiser's HP in about 5 min on paper). Top speed of 30.2 kn is 2.1 kn above average, with good rudder shift, acceleration. Key skills: Engine Accelerator II ×3 (top speed +12%, 25 s); Rapid Reload II ×2 (main battery reload +43%, 20 s). Its firepower trails other battleships, so be selective and punish broadsides. A firepower equipment build improves reload 21→19.95 s, dispersion 341→311 m.

A battleship design developed on the basis of the very successful Richelieu class, which received improved AA capabilities and had the main turrets placed in the ship's aft and fore ends. Like her prototype, the ship boasted a high speed and very good torpedo protection.
