Rating A- (Above average+ within its tier and class · overall score 62) · Long-range destroyer
A British destroyer based on Daring that drops torpedoes to focus on forward-mounted guns. Its four 127 mm guns fire every 1.9 s for 48,884 HE DPM, 19% above average, and with 9.72 km range and accurate 6 km dispersion of about 98 m, it steadily chips away at destroyers; against battleships its 27.9 mm HE pen falls short of the 32 mm bow and stern plating, so only the superstructure takes damage. With the guns concentrated forward, it can use full firepower even while bow-on behind an island. Its turning is more sluggish than Daring's, but 7.13 s acceleration makes switching between forward and reverse quick, and 6 single-burst smoke charges help it hold position. Without torpedoes, it lacks a way to deal big single hits to large ships.
