Tier VI · Cruiser · U.S.A.
Rating A (Strong within its tier and class · overall score 71) · Gunnery cruiser
Gunnery cruiser, suited to AA escort. It is weak against cruisers (AP deals a same-tier cruiser's HP in about 3 min on paper). Its AP main battery DPM of 40,390 is 7% above the same-tier cruiser average. Strong AA fends off carrier strikes well. Key skills: Air Defense Alert I ×2. Shells spread widely, so fight at medium range or wait for broadsides.

A version of a small light cruiser design, the development of which preceded the creation of the Brooklyn-class cruisers. She had the features characteristic of most subsequent ships of this type in the U.S. Navy: moderate speed, the absence of torpedo armament, and dual-purpose guns complementing the turret-mounted 152 mm main battery.
