Amatsukaze
Tier VIII · Destroyer · Japan · Premium
Rating B- (Below average within its tier and class · overall score 40) · Stealth torpedo destroyer
Stealth torpedo destroyer, suited to torpedo ambush. Its 9.3 km torpedoes outrange its 5.94 km detectability by 3.4 km, ideal for smoke-backed ambushes. Detectability of 5.94 km is 0.35 km below average, so it is less likely to be spotted first. Key skills: Engine Accelerator II ×2 (top speed +12%, 25 s); Fuel Smoke I ×2 (9 s deploy, 3 s linger). Fuel smoke hides it even at full speed for hit-and-run play, but it clears quickly. A survival equipment build adds damage reduction +9 pp, fire/flood resistance +10 pp, torpedo damage reduction +16 pp to shore up survivability.
